Eleven Months

My baby is almost a one year old! I can not believe it. She is so much fun and so full of personality! She is eating anything and everything and loves it all! She is clapping, waving bye-bye, giving kisses, and making funny faces. She can walk with her push toy, but she is still scared to do it all by herself. Bath time is her favorite. She will literally soak the entire room and everyone in it. She LOVES the itsy bitsy spider and patty cake. She loves to swing.

A weird thing she does (Dustin taught her this) is that she loves to head-butt you....only if she likes you! She will do it mid-air too. If she likes you, she will throw her chin down, forhead high and cut her eyes at you. It is hilarious. I will be pushing her through Kroger, and she will do it random people through this store....it is too funny.

Such a personality! I love this girl with all my heart and can not believe how big she has gotten! We are looking forward to her first birthday!

Any suggestions on where to get a good cake??

Game Day & TEN Months

Game Day Ready! Sadly, we will be watching the game from the comfort of our home, since we have no babysitter. Lil is ready, though! Thanks to Emily for the adorable outfit.

Lillian turns TEN months today! I can not believe I will have a one year old in two months. She is so much fun. And already my best friend. =)

Dustin and I are celebrating three years of marriage! Our anniversary was September 1st, but I was too busy getting ready for Grace's lingerie shower (which deserves a post of its own) to celebrate. We will be celebrating this weekend! Dustin took off work all day Thursday to get the yard and outside of the house ready for Grace's shower. He is so good to me. I love him.

Fall Collection

I love to pick the seasons "IT" polish color! This summer it was all about OPI's Shrek collection. My personal favorite was Rumples Wiggin...still on my toes now! I was flipping through a magazine the other day and came across the new Essie ad. Their fall collection is gorgeous! I do believe that Little Brown Dress will be the "IT" color for fall!

Nine Months

Lillian weighed 21 1b. 3 oz at her nine month check-up, and was 28.25 inches tall. Every month gets more fun and I can not imagine how I could love this girl anymore! I wonder everyday what I did to deserve this life. God is so good! Lil has developed such a cute personality! She makes us laugh all the time. She is trying to pull up by herself; and loves to stand up if we pull her up. She is still crawling all over the house, but she doesnt get her stomach off the floor. She sort of pulls her body across the floor with her hands. It is the weirdest looking thing I have ever seen! I dont think she will ever crawl correctly, but just go straight to walking! She loves Sid the Science Kid and Sesame Street. She prefers electrical cords or my magazines to any of her toys! What is it about electrical cords that are so fascinating??? She practically hyperventilates over her hairbrush; she loves it so much! Speaking of which, her hair has gotten so thick! I cant believe how straight it is. Dustin and I both have really curly hair, but hers is straight as a board. I am in the process of weaning her. I breastfed her exclusively for nine months! But now I. am. over. it.
Weaning is so intimidating to me! Not sure why. But we are pretty much there. She has only nursed once in two days, and I think she is really preferring the bottle now! She has still never been sick! I pray for her every single night before I put her to bed, and thank God for such a sweet miracle.

The McCain household has been so busy this summer! Dustin changed jobs, Grace is getting married, and we are getting ready to put our house on the market and build a new one! I am so looking forward to fall weather! Is is weird that I'm already planning her birthday party??

Can I Just Say...

So... I am over a week late in posting my baby girls nine month photo and stats. My laptop has crashed again. Maybe for good this time. My baby sis Grace is in CA this week and left me hers! Thank God for my Droid phone, or I would go crazy! Nine month stats and pic to come soon!
but for today....

Can I just say that I am ecstatic that my sister Margaret is finally moving back to the States after three years of living in Sydney?!!! She has been working so hard on her music, and finally got a CD out. If you haven't bought it yet, you are missing out! For What Its Worth by Maggie Eckford on Itunes! Buy IT! It is truly addictive. She will be home just in time for all of Grace's wedding activities, and then she plans to move to Nashville. I am so happy for her and so happy that It wont take a 36 hour plane ride to get to her! (and a 2k$ plane ticket!)

As for Grace's wedding...only a month and a half! The festivities have already begun and are keeping me super busy!

This Chick is Everywhere!

Although Lil is not technically crawling, she is rolling and scooting all over the house!

I keep a kiddie quilt on our keeping room rug for her to play on; but in less than a minute she is now rolling unto the tile floor. Her new favorite thing is to pat the cold tile. I have even found her face down sucking the floor!?!

six and seven months

So Lil is already into her seventh month and I never posted her six month stats! I thought that when I quit work to stay home I would have all the time in the world to keep this updated....WRONG! I couldn't tell you what all I do everyday, but I do know that I had more internet time at work! Also I would post more if I knew an easier way to post pictures. Does anyone know an easy way to keep them neat looking? Mine always end up jumbled and it takes me forever to straighten them out! I usually end up quitting.

Anyways... at six months Lillian weighed 19lbs 4oz! She is sleeping great and rolling all over the place. She can sit up by herself for hours and is so close to crawling! She loves peek-a-boo and pulls the cover up and down over face all by herself! She LOVES the swimming pool and splashing water. She was dedicated at church in April and we had a big BBQ at our house afterwards. We started cereal and vegetables about two weeks ago and she is doing pretty good! She has never been sick or ran a fever! She is still on breastmilk only, but I really want to have her weaned by September for my sister's wedding! We just took her to the beach for the first time and she LOVED it! Six hour car ride and she did great. We stopped twice on the way there and only once on the way home. I did have to sit in the back with her about half the time though.

The water was so clear and full of sandbars so we were able to take her in and she loved it. We set up a pack and play under tent so I got plenty of time in the sun!

She is a true girl and loves to shop! I can take her anywhere. I think she would much rather be at the grocery store or the renaissance than at home! Girl after my own heart!
